Jacksonville Adventure
Charlotte and I had much fun on our latest Jacksonville adventure. We flew JetBlue, which was fabulous, and Charlotte slept for most of the flight, which was even better.
At Grandma and Grandpa Dixon's we saw the whole family. Charlotte got to meet her two cousins, Julide and Jonathan Derin. She and Julide seemed to really hit it off. Charlotte had a ball playing with all the Christmas decorations. She removed a good number from Grandma's tree, thus sprinkling the carpet and herself with glitter. She also enjoyed all of the singing Christmas animals. At mealtimes she would direct the performers. The mouse would sing, and then be rewarded with a bite of yogurt, then the penguin would sing and garner a bit of hotdog. Sometimes the moose and the dog had to sing together. You get the point. Needless to say an inflatable snowglobe for the lawn and more singing animals are making their way onto my post-holiday shopping list.
At Grandma and Grandpa Eversole's she had lots of fun playing with Lil' Bit and playing with Lil' Bit's toys. Lil' Bit was handsomely rewarded with food tossed down from the highchair. Charlotte also had a return visit to the beach. The seagulls were the best part.
I think she enjoyed the slide at the park the most, though. Especially when Grandpa took her down! All in all we had a wonderful trip and look forward to our next visit south!
