Happy Birthday
Charlotte is now 1 year old! All her grand- parents drove all the way from Florida to celebrate with her. They hugged her and squeezed her and sang to her and took her to the park and took her out for lobster (daddy ate the lobster, charlotte had juice box). But that wasn't enough; so she had a party with her friends to celebrate. Her party consisted of swimming, balloons, cupcakes, barbq, and wagon rides. But that wasn't enough; so she got lots of presents: blocks, clothes, books, a xylophone and a mechanical bull-zebra. But that wasn't enough; so on her birthday she went to the zoo. She saw tigers, peacocks, monkeys, turtles, otters, llamas...but she was especially fond of the groundhogs, which she saw up close. Finally she decided that her birthday had been properly acknowledged, and she slept for 8 hours straight...for her mommy, it was the best present ever.
It's amazing to see how she has changed and is becoming a little person with likes and dislikes of her own. Speaking of... Here are some things about Charlotte at 1 year:Favorite Song: Old McDonald Had a Farm
Favorite Foods: cantaloupe, watermelon, peas, goldfish crackers, apple juice, cucumber(!)
Least Favorite Foods: green beans, peaches, milk
Favorite Book: Put Me in the Zoo
Favorite Animal: cats, of course
Loves: watching TV, reading, listening to music and dancing, pulling ziploc bags out of the drawer, looking at baby pictures, dialing the phone, crawling in the grass, playing on the swingset, making messes
Hates: getting splashed, wearing hairclips and hats, having to lie still for a diaper change, not getting her way
