Happy Thanksgiving

Even though Daddy wasn't here to celebrate with us, Charlotte seemed to enjoy her Thanksgiving. It was a cold and rainy day so we spent it indoors - cooking, reading, and playing. She really enjoys putting together puzzles so we worked on our animal puzzle for a while and then we spend some quality time tossing our blocks all over the living room.


Despite having a full
Thanksgiving spread, her favorite food was the pumpkin spice cake I made last night. She spent a good portion of the morning pointing at the pan on top of the stove and begging for more. I like to feel that the pumpkin added some nutritional value to the cake, but you can see by the recipe that it's just wishful thinking on my part. Needless to say she wasn't very hungry by the time dinner made it to the table.


Even so, we had a good feast. Charlotte is looking forward to shopping tomorrow, mainly because she knows we are shopping for her! She will be most excited on Saturday, though, as that is when Daddy comes back from Italy!
