Now That's Italian!

Charlotte ate ravioli and macaroni this week. She also learned about the different aerodynamic qualities of each shape, accounting for weight, sauce saturation, and distance to the closest person's white shirt. Unfortunately, she also learned how to pry up her brand new suction bowl, which she promptly turned upside-down and placed on her head. She likes meatballs, but isn't too keen on mushroom-spinach ravioli filling. Charlotte now demands a taste of anything you are eating - and more of it if she decides it is tasty.

She's also working on her athletics. She went swimming in her friend Olivia's pool. She thought it was olympic-sized, even if a bit shallow. There was much splashing and sploshing and sloshing and spraying. She also got to show off her one-piece bathing suit, which is a bit modest in its 30s style, but daddy said she has to keep it covered. She also learned how to climb onto the couch (if someone builds a terrace of cushions to ascend) - she's not great at climbing back down, but the carpet is nice and soft when she falls on her face. The kitchen is also a world of wonder. She knows that all the drawers and doors open into a secret stash of stainless steel. Also there's something interesting in the dishwasher, and the refrigerator has all sorts of interesting cool delights. So far, the trash can isn't too interesting, but its only a matter of time....
