Happy Birthday, Charlotte

Today Charlotte turned 2!!

She has had an exciting week. Grandma and Grandpa Dixon came to visit for her birthday. They gave her an easel and lots of art supplies so she has been coloring and painting and making things from playdough all week. Grandma and Grandpa were forced to give Teddy Bear pretend baths and take him to tea parties. Luckily Grandma brought Charlotte a fairy princess skirt that Teddy was able to put to good use!

This morning Charlotte woke up to discover a horse in her living room! We got her a spring horse as she was outgrowing her rocking horse. After a moment of hesitation she leapt right on. When Grandma and Grandpa got here, we opened presents. Charlotte gots lots of good books and beautiful outfits. She even got her own digital camera. So far she has taken a lot of photos of the ceiling and the carpet. She smiles for the camera whenever she takes one, though.

Charlotte ended her day with a pizza dinner and, of course, cake! She wasn't nearly as messy as last year, though I think she appreciated the frosting even more.
