Butterflies and Ladybugs

All the butterflies have been released.

Charlotte took hers to school and they were set free in the Riverside Community Gardens. They have a butterfly garden there so we hope they stick around.

Sebastian took his two little ones to school for the Red White and Blue picnic where they were released in the fields at Peddie.





The ladybugs are happily at home in our garden at Hibben-Magie. We hope they keep the insects from our yummy veggies!

We have 5 happy crysalis waiting to form butterflies. Sebastian got his own butterfly kit too (a smaller one called the butterfly bungalow). He has one crysalis and one caterpiller which is hanging upside down! The ladybugs have transformed. They are yellow!

After much waiting, we finally got our caterpillars and ladybug larvae. Charlotte is eagerly awaiting their metamorphosis. Stay tuned for more photos as our little pets grow up.
